ANTIBODY PRODUCTION
This protocol replaces the Traditional Antibody Production Protocol previously offered and is now the most popular protocol at PRFAL. The immunization and bleeding schedule remains the same.
Please note that antigens formulated in a gel require modifications for the injection route. If your antigen is in a gel, this protocol can still be followed.
All injections are performed intramuscularly (IM) and subcutaneously (SC) as required.
There is no price adjustment associated with changing the route of immunization.
Alternatively, the 91-day protocol may be selected.
70 - Day Polyclonal Antibody Production in Goats or Sheep
The protocol includes Setup, Prebleed, four immunizations, one small immune bleed, one large bleed, and maintenance. This Protocol can be extended if additional Serum is required. Price is per animal, unless noted.
Day 0- Pre-Bleed/Immunization
Day 14 - Immunization
Day 28- Immunization
Day 42 - Bleed
Day 56 Immunization
Day 70 - Bleed (Approximate volume of sera provided per animal for the duration of the protocol is 0.5 - 1 liter).
For Open Projects, the Client can choose one of the Following Extensions:
EXTENSION A: Boost and Bleed- Includes 1 Boost immunization, 1 additional bleed, and 28 days of additional maintenance.
EXTENSION B: Production-Includes 4 production bleeds, 1 boost immunizations, and 28 days of additional maintenance.
EXTENSION C: Hold - Animals are held pending your decision to proceed. No boosts or bleeds.
