AAALAC ACCREDITATION
This is the gold standard for laboratory animal care.
AAALAC International is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs. AAALAC stands for the "Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care." Many of our customers require that their contract labs be AAALAC Accredited.

USDA REGISTRATION
Pocono Rabbit Farm & Laboratory registered as a Class R Research Facility with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the registration number is 23-R-0141.

Pocono Rabbit Farm & Laboratory assured by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW.) The assurance number is A3886-01 / D16-00508. Effective date for the current assurance is February 12, 2025. Our assurance expires on January 31, 2029

IACUC APROVALS
Pocono Rabbit Farm & Laboratory, Inc. has an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) that approves all protocols. Our protocols for antibody production are preapproved so that there is no delay in starting your project.
The approval numbers for standard Polyclonal Antibody Production Protocols are:

- Guinea Pigs – PRF2B
- Rats – PRF2C
- Mice – PRF2D
- Chickens – PRF2E
- Goats – PRF2F
- Sheep – PRF2G
